“There are so many hammocks to catch you if you fall,
so many laws to keep you from experience.
All these cities I have been in the last few weeks make me fully understand the cozy,
stifling state in which most people pass through life.
I don't want to pass through life like a smooth plane ride.
All you do is get to breathe and copulate and finally die.
I don't want to go with the smooth skin and the calm brow.
I hope I end up a blithering idiot cursing the sun -
hallucinating, screaming, giving obscene and inane lectures on street corners and public parks.
People will walk by and say, "Look at that drooling idiot. What a basket case."
I will turn and say to them
"It is you who are the basket case. For every moment you hated your job,
cursed your wife and sold yourself to a dream that you didn't even conceive.
For the times your soul screamed yes and you said no. For all of that.
For your self-torture, I see the glowing eyes of the sun! The air talks to me! I am at all times!"
And maybe, the passers by will drop a coin into my cup.”

Alright so I've had a bit of a busy last few days.
My sister cam up on Friday and we went to the Jazz Festival all Saturday. Then on Sunday we basically were lazy, did some shopping. On Monday I had a dentist appointment. I have to get my wisdom teeth out sometime (but I still have to get refered to a surgeon in Abbottsford) and then I might think about getting braces on the top some fine day since I hate my teeth so very much and veneers aren't an option due to spacing.
After that, mother dear came up to Saskatoon and we went over to meet her for supper.
Her, Dawn Leanne went with me and my sister to Keo's Kitchen (aka BEST FOOD PLACE EVER) and we all had a good time.
Yesterday was my grad. I had to wake up early early because my first appointment was at 9am. It was hair. Then we ate breakfast, I got my makeup done and we made a mad dash for the photographer's place. Got pictures done, rushed home, fine tuned the dress and went off to TCU.
Basically the whole ceremony was really boring.
After that I was blinded by more pictures than ever thought to be humanly possible.
We ate supper and ditched out before the real bullshit program started because I didn't want to have my ears assaulted by some skanks who think that can sing over a PA system set up by monkies on crack.
In all, I would rather have sat at home watching cartoons and drinking beer.
So I have to finish up my packing because within a week or so I'm outta this place.
And then the real world starts.
And the stress.
And the minor lonliness I will feel for the first little bit.
Sigh.
